Imitation Mini Peanut Butter Cups for Dogs
I love making my peanut butter cups with protein powder, but my dogs think they are a new homemade dog treat!
Because Ruby and Callie are the best dogs ( read spoiled!), I was determined to make their own dog safe version of mini imitation Peanut Butter cups!
Just like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, these dog treats are a healthy and dog safe alternative to chocolate.
How did I do this? By replacing chocolate with carob, which is safe for dogs.

🍫 What are Carbo Chips for Dogs
What are carob chips?
Carob chips, comes from beans related to cacao beans. However, unlike chocolate, carob does not contain theobromine, which can be toxic to dogs!
One benefit of carob chips is that it's low in fat and sodium, and high in fiber, potassium, and calcium, which makes it not only tasty, but completely healthy for your dogs.
A carob pod grows on a tree with the same name. It resembles chocolate but has much bitter taste (trust us, we've tasted it!).
You can find carob chips in your grocery store. If not, check out your local organic store.

These are amazing thanks for sharing. Ive made them and love them but they soften quickly and melt are they best served from frozen?

What type of peanut butter do you use? Regular creamy like Peter Pan or all natural without salt?
Stephanie says
Natural is best for dogs.
