Frozen Banana and Yogurt with Flax Dog Treats
Easy to make, homemade frozen banana & flax dog treats are a nice, refreshing treat for a hot summer day. Frozen treats that are packed with nutrition are a great way to give your pup some love.
If your dog is anything like mine, Ruby and Callie, treats are life. Just say cookie, treat, biscuit, and even “Do you want a cookie? They come running from wherever they are in the house. She can be asleep on the other side of the house and still wake up at the sound of the cookie jar opening!
I like to make frozen flax dog treats for my dogs when it's hot outside. You mix everything together and mold them in silicone molds - it couldn't be simpler.

How to Make Banana Yogurt Flax Dog Treats
- Makes - depends on size of mold. I got about 24 treats out of this batch.
- Time - only about 8 minutes! Plus about 3 hours in the freezer.
- Skill Level - super easy.

Ingredient Notes
Banana - using an over ripe banana that you have laying around works best in this recipe.
Yogurt - I prefer using plain Greek yogurt for my dogs.
Flaxseed Meal - flaxseed is rich in antioxidants and Omega vitamins. Plus dogs love it!
Easy Directions
Step 1: Begin by peeling your banana. Place it into your blender along with the yogurt and flaxseed meal.
Step 2: Blend it all on high until everything is fully mixed.
Step 3: Lay your cute doggie molds on a cookie sheet and fill them with your dog treat mixture.
Step 4: Place the cookie sheet with molds in the freezer until fully frozen. Normally around 3 hours. When frozen, remove from molds and store in an airtight container in the freezer.

Ingredients
- 1 over ripe banana
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup Flaxseed Meal
Instructions
Peel the banana and place into the blender.
Add the yogurt and flaxseed meal into the blender with the banana.
Blend on high until everything is fully mixed.
Lay your molds on a cookie sheet and then fill them with the mixture.
Place the cookie sheet with molds in the freezer until fully frozen. Normally around 3 hours. When frozen remove from molds and store in an airtight container in the
freezer.
