When the weather heats up, throw some homemade dog treats in the freezer.
These homemade dog treat recipes not only taste great, but they're also good for your dog. While we may not enjoy a frozen chicken dinner pup pop, your dogs will love it!
Making dog treats is as easy or as hard as you want it to be. You can make a range of creative mixes depending on what you've got and what flavor your dog likes.
With chicken baby food, peas, carrots and some rice flour, these customizable dog treats couldn’t be easier to make. You can easily adjust them the flavor to your dog’s taste by changing out the baby food.
Some of our favorites is to use a mixture as a homemade dog food topper or our blueberry homemade dog treats.
All you need is a blender and some silicone molds! Make it fun with silicone paw prints or bones.
This is literally the easiest recipe!

How to Make Homemade Dog Treats: Chicken Dinner Pup Pops
Ingredients:
- ½ cup rice flour
- 1 jar chicken baby food ( 2.5 oz jar)
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup frozen diced carrots
- ½ cup frozen peas
Supplies Needed:
- Blender or NutriBullet
- Silicone Dog Molds
- Cookie Sheet
Directions:
Add rice flour, chicken baby food, water, peas and carrot ingredients to the blender but save about ¼ each of the peas and carrots. I do this to give the pops a little texture however if you are not worried about texture then you can add them all in.
Run the blender until fully blended.
Place your silicone dog molds on a cookie sheet. Add the extra little bits you left out of the peas and carrots, and add them to each of the spaces.
Fill each space with the blended mixture, pouring it over the peas and carrots.
Place the molds in the freezer for a minimum of two hours until fully frozen.
