How to Make Air Fryer Carrot Liver Dog Treats
Liver and carrot fries are a delicious treat for dogs because they are natural. They make a great fry too because they get really crispy in the oven.
You'll want to keep an eye on them after they've been in the air fryer for a while. I can tell you from experience that these fries can go from crispy to burnt in no time at all.
Ingredients:
- 3-4 small carrots ( or 1-2 large carrots )
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons liver powder sprinkles
Supplies Needed:
- Air Fryer
- Small Bowl
Directions:
Step 1: Slices carrots into small sticks. About the size of shoestring fries.
Step 2: Lightly coat the carrots in oil.
Step 3: Roll the oiled carrots in the liver powder.
Step 4: Place rolled carrots on an air fryer tray. Make sure they do not overlap.
Step 5: Place the tray in the air fryer and cook at 190 for 15 minutes. It will not dry them out at this stage, just more of a fry type constancy. If you want them to be dryer, you can cook for a longer time at a lower temperature.
Tips:
These treats only keep a few days. If you only have one dog, I would recommend making them in a smaller batch.
It is pretty easy, as you really don't need exact measurements of the ingredients. You just need to lightly coat the carrots in oil, then coat them in liver powder.
