How to make Peanut Butter Banana Dog Treats
Ingredients:
- 1 over ripe banana
- ⅓ cup dog safe creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups oat flour ( see my notes if you don't have oat flour)
- 2 to 3 tablespoons water
Supplies Needed:
- Food processor or Mixer
- Bone shaped cookie cutters
- Baking sheet
- Silpat Mat or Parchment paper
- Dog bone cooling rack
- Pastry Mat
Notes:
If you do not have oat flour, you can use quick oats. Simply place them into a NutriBullet blender or even a coffee grinder and mix until a flour like texture.
Directions:
Add peanut butter and banana to the food processor and blend until fully combined.
Add most of the flour to the mix. Save a few tablespoons to use for dusting the roller. Give it a good mix. Then add in water to moisten a little more.
Dump mixture into floured area. Should look like wet sand.
Press the mixture into a ball.
Lightly dust the rolling pin with flour and roll the dough out until it is about ¼ to ½ inch thick.
Use the cookie cutter to cut out the cookies. Roll the cut-off pieces out a few times until it is all used up.
Place cookies on the baking sheet. I used a silicone mat on mine. Bake in a preheated oven at 300° degrees Fahrenheit for 20 - 25 minutes.
When done, the bottoms will be lightly golden and the cookies should be hard. Allow to fully cool before serving.
